Firefox on Roll

Firefox has been rated widely used browser version again. If we count users of IE 5, IE 6 and IE 7 together then Firefox is at no. 2. Otherwise it outshines any specific version of IE - Internet Explorer.

I have been using Firefox for last 3 years now almost since its inception and have become a die-hard fan of that. I don't use IE except while testing the ASP.NET web applications. See the interesting statistics at the W3Schools website: http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_stats.asp

Firefox is more stable and faster than IE. Also it is the most fascinating browser available on the earth due to the add-ons it offers. My Firefox is fully loaded with add-ons. Right now I am using the below add-ons with my firefox 2.0.0.13:
    • Cooliris Previews 2.6
    • Fast Video Download 1.5
    • Fasterfox 2.0.0
    • Firebug 1.05
    • FlashGot 0.9
    • Google Notebook 1.0.0.19
    • IE Tab 1.3.3.20070528
    • PicLens 1.6.2.1659
    • Session Manager 0.6.1.13
    • Stumble Upon 3.18
    • ViewTrace 1.3
    • Web Developer 1.1.5
I bet once you give them a try, you will be tempted to download, install and use all of them and become a fan of Firefox and its add-ons like me.

So what are you waiting for....go and give them a shot!!

Freedom by Osho

I've just purchased a book - Freedom by Osho from the book fair organized in Infy campus. Just started reading it and I tell you it's a wonderful book. Let me give you what Osho has to say on freedom..
  • Freedom is the capability to say Yes when 'Yes' is needed, to say No when 'No' is needed and to keep quite when nothing is needed - to be silent. Where these all dimensions exist, there is *FREEDOM*.
  • There are 3 types of freedom: 1) Freedom From 2) Freedom For 3) Complete Freedom.
  • Freedom means much more responsibility. If we understand this we don't need any legisleture or law. The concept of society would no longer be there. Society is something which hampers the freedom of a man.

Would keep writing more as I read the book. It seems nice. Osho is good at explaining complexities of life giving so simple examples. Espeically short stories he metions are great.

Firefox 3 Beta 4 rolled out - Give it a shot!

Oh my God! It's out now.. Firefox 3 Beta 4. I just have downloaded it and given it a try. Awesome surfing experience!
Download it here:
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-beta.html

Release notes here:
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/3.0b4/releasenotes/

They claim it to be 5 times faster than IE and 3 times than previous version of Firefox. I gave it a shot and ooo la la... it rocks man. Really faster. But still in Beta. So I didn't get all my fundoo add-ons compatible with Firefox 3. So now using both of them together. :)

Check out the coolest browser on the earth.

Divine Accident

"The most wonderful of all things in life, I believe, is the discovery of another human being with whom one's relationship has a glowing depth, beauty, and joy as the years increase. This inner progressiveness of love between two human beings is a most marvelous thing, it cannot be found by looking for it or by passionately wishing for it. It is a sort of Divine accident." What's Love?

"Love is passion, obsession, someone you can't live without. If you don't start with that, what are you going to end up with? Fall head over heels. I say find someone you can love like crazy and who'll love you the same way back. And how do you find him? Forget your head and listen to your heart. I'm not hearing any heart. Run the risk, if you get hurt, you'll come back. Because, the truth is there is no sense living your life without this. To make the journey and not fall deeply in love - well, you haven't lived a life at all. You have to try. Because if you haven't tried, you haven't lived".

[William Parrish] from the movie, Meet Joe Black (1998)
